Rosita Gallegos

Rosita Gallegos Rose Our beloved mother and devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, Rosita Rose Alvina Atencio Gallegos, peacefully passed from this earthly life December 1, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born June 17, 1921 in El Valle, New Mexico to Placido and Esmiria Lopez Atencio. She married Joe Ross Gallegos January 18, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ross; parents; brothers: Pete and Tony Atencio; sons: Paul, Vincent and Bobby; and five grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Ruben (Sandy) Gallegos, Patrick Gallegos, Paula Kiter, Shirley (Jerry) Larsen, Ricky (Rita) Gallegos; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members and friends. The family wishes to express our love and special appreciation to daughters: Shirley (Jerry) Larsen and Paula Kiter for their devoted 24 hour care of our mother throughout the past several years of her life. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 6, 2007, 12:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns, Utah where a Vigil Service will be held Wednesday, 7-9 pm and Thursday, one hour prior to services. Committal at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
