Ruby Withers

Ruby L. Smith Withers 1920 ~ 2009 Ruby passed away October 26, 2009. She was born April 19, 1920 in Centerfield, Utah to Dewey and Margaret Williams Lund. Married Andrew Merrill Smith February 9, 1939 in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with three children. Married Richard Calvin Withers December 15, 2000. Ruby and Merrill belonged to a Good Sam Trailer Club and a dinner group. Ruby loved family, the gospel, gardening, camping, fishing, golf and trips in the trailer. Survived by sons, Chad (partner, Dell Larsen); Jerry (Karren); grandson, Chris (April) and their children: Sidney, Jackson and Soren; granddaughter, Stacy (Derreck) and their children: Ann, Ericka, Brittany, Kaleb, Emily and Ethan; grandson, Cory (Emily) and their children: Haley, Nathen and Jane Ruby; sisters: Margret Jefferson and Carnell Peterson.. Also survived by Richards children: Larry (Jackie), Marilyn (Max), Douglas (Cheryl), Duane (Brandy), Colleen (Robert); 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren. Ruby is preceded in death by husband, Andrew; son, Scott; parents; brother, Dewey Lund. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 1, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Riverview Ward, 1325 West 5550 South where a viewing will be held Monday, 10-10:45 a.m. A viewing will also be held Sunday, 5-7 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment, Redmond Cemetery.
