Rudolfo Barragan

Rodolfo M. Barragan, 88 of Solomon, entered into rest on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Haven Health in Safford. He was born on March 29, 1927 in Silver City, NM, to Luciano and Secudina Barragan. He joined the U.S. Army on June 6, 1945; he served in Germany with the Co-B 12565th Engr. Combat Battalion for the duration of his service. He was honorably discharged on November 5, 1946. He married Lilly Delgado on May 4th, 1947. They had two sons; Gilbert and Rudy; two daughters, Linda, and Alice; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 15 great great grandchildren. He was presided in death by his parents; wife, Lilly; grandson Gilbert Brandon Barragan; three brothers, John, Joe and Manuel; four sisters, Lazarra, Alvina, Tina, and Delfina. Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2105 at the Desert Springs Fellowship Church, 425 E. 4th Street, Safford with Rev. Edilia Barragan officiating. Military honors will conclude by the Gila Valley Honor Guard.
