RUDOLPH "Rudy" SAENZ, 57, passed away May 20, 2011 in Chandler, AZ surrounded by his loving family, after a valiant fight with cancer. He was born November 2, 1953 to Rodolfo R. and Lillie C. Saenz in Morenci, AZ. He spent his early years in Morenci relocating to Safford in 1965 with his family and attending Safford Public Schools. During this time he made his mark early breaking a sports record for the mile run while at Safford Jr. High School. His love for sports brought him to join his friends in wrestling, track and field, and as a member of the Safford High School State football Championship team. He proudly served in the US Army. Through out his life-time, Rudy loved religion, education, gardening and cooking. His love for his Catholic faith brought him to always pray his rosary and attend mass as often as possible. This faith gave him a very unique sense of giving himself to others. He left his mark with family and strangers a-like. There never was a limit as to what he could and would do for others.
