Rulon Peterson

Rulon Christian Peterson 1925 ~ 2009 Our beloved, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, brother and friend, Rulon Christian Peterson, age 84, passed away on June 29, 2009 after a courageous battle to endure to the end. Born January 12, 1925 in Rexburg, Idaho to Homer and Luella Arnold Peterson. He was the seventh of 10 children. Married Jannet Irene Olsen on December 10, 1952. Later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. She preceded him in death in 2001. They were blessed with four children. He drove a bread truck for 25 years, operated an Arctic Circle and drove bus for Granite School District for 20 years He enjoyed spending time with his family camping, fishing and traveling. His favorite times were spent on the brothers trip, snowbirding in Arizona with his friends and family reunions were the things he lived for most. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. Survived by children: Kirk (Linda), David, Mark (Susan) and JaNae (Shawn) Farrington; grandchildren, April, Justin (Michelle), Devin, Danielle, Nicholas, Christian; great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Conner, Colton and Savannah; sister, Ruth Eddins. Preceded in death by his wife; parents; 6 brothers; 2 sisters. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to Rocky Mountain Home Care and Skilled Nursing Facility for the care given to our dad. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 2, 2009, 12:00 noon at the Taylorsville 20th Ward, 3120 West 4700 South. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Thursday at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Sutton Cemetery, Archer, Idaho.
