Ruth Kilgore 6/3/16 - 3/23/09 Ruth was born on a farm near Heimdal, North Dakota, sixth in a family of eight children. She met her beloved husband, Clair Kilgore during World War II, in Philadelphia, where they both worked at the Philadelphia Ordinance. Ruth was a typist and Clair a second Lieutenant working as an auditor. He had earned a CPA and was working at Price Waterhouse shortly before being drafted. Ruth was the ideal grandma who was cheerful and cuddly, always full of love for her grandsons, daughter, and son-in-law. She made all kinds of tasty goodies we would never have known about, and could tell how we were doing just by hearing us say "hello" over the phone. She is survived by her daughter, Kathlea Quebbeman; two grandsons, James and Thomas; brother, Rolf; nieces, Mary Jane and Bonita; nephews, Rodger and Dean. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clair Kilgore, in 1988; and son-in-law, David Quebbeman, in 2008. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 5200 South 2700 West. A viewing will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
