Ruth Weight

Ruth Emmerette Weight, 63, Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, with her brother Lynn in attendance. Ruth was born August 1, 1946 to Jesse Aaron Weight and Edith Emmerette Archibald Weight, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ruth spent her life in service to others. She taught handicapped children at Hartvigsen School for many years as a teachers aide. She also served in many positions as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved children and influenced the lives of many. She was a dedicated aunt to her nieces and nephews. She is survived by three brothers and one sister, DuWayne (Hazel) Weight, Lynn (Linda) Weight, Ralph (Jennifer) Weight, and Linda (Bill) Plastow, six nieces, and seven nephews, Lori, Lisa, Lynette, Amy, April, Lucinda, Layne, Michael, Daniel, David, Jonathan, Blaine and Timothy. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse and her mother, Edith. The family would like to thank the loving staff of Avalon Valley who cared for her during her years of illness and did so with complete love and dedication. Graveside services will start at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Interment Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
