Ruth McBride Williams, 76, passed away on February 6, 2017 after a short battle with thyroid cancer. She was born in Pima, Arizona, daughter of the late Edward Burt & Lela McBride.
She grew up in Pima, attending Pima High School and later, Eastern Arizona College. She met and married Charles Edward Williams on December 20, 1960 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They were later blessed with 6 children but adopted many more.
She was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings in the Kimball Ward.
Ruth is survived by Tammy (Mikel) Morris, Margaret "Missy" Spoon, Gwena Williams, Marylynn (Scott) Clemmens, Brett (Katie) Stewart, Brandy Bovee, numerous grandchildren; George and Mikel E. Morris, Samantha and Mycah Hurston, Kyle Wells and Kiera Kimball, Maddy and Emily Stewart and Trinity Jade Poeling.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Eddy, son Charles Andrew "Andy", daughter Linda Williams and parents, Edward and Lela McBride.
Services for Ruth will be as follows; viewing on Thursday evening, February 16th, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mt. Graham Chapel and again on Friday, February 17th at the Safford Stake Center at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral service starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
