Sally Wilson

November 14, 1937 — August 19, 2008

Sally Ann Wilson 1937-2008 Our mother, Sally Wilson, passed away Tuesday, August 19th at the Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, Elko, NV. Finally, eternal peace after years of complications from a stroke suffered at the age of 58. Sally was born November 14, 1937 to Oliver Sylvester and Anna Katherine (Hartl) Walters in Custer, South Dakota. Sally was married to the love of her life, Ralph Edward Wilson and though she never possessed a passport, mom traveled throughout the United States with Ralph, a professional truck driver. She was content being a homemaker and raising her five children, although at times she worked in the home-healthcare profession. Much of her life was spent in Casper, Wyoming and Salt Lake City, Utah. Before her stroke, mom enjoyed retirement; she was a Snowbird going south for the winters in their motor home. Sally is survived by two daughters, Terisa (Dale) Millemon and Cindy (George) Pierce of Spring Creek, NV., one son, Rick (MaryLou) Wilson of Salt Lake City, UT., and a sister, MaryEllen (Jack) Watts of Clayton, GA. She was blessed with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She lit up when they came to visit. Her mother and father, a brother Timothy Walters, her husband, Ralph Wilson and her oldest and youngest sons, Terry Lee Wilson and Joseph Leroy Wilson precede Sally in death. At moms request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be Monday, August 25th at 11:00am at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd., SLC, Utah. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Ralph Wilson, at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
