SARAH MARSHALL TURNER 1926 ~ 2009 Sarah Marshall Turner (Sally), our beloved mom, grandma and great-grandma passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at home in the arms of her beloved granddaughter, Kelsey. Born in Salt Lake City on December 1, 1926 to Malcolm and Lila Hansen Marshall growing up on Jewel Avenue, surrounded by a large extended family, including four sisters and a brother. Married Martin Luther Turner Jr. on September 29, 1946. They graced their life with five children. Martin was killed in a mining collapse on January 6, 1967. With dads death, mom committed the rest of her life to caring for her family and providing to their needs. She gave up so much to see that we had a life filled with opportunity and memories. Mom was rewarded with six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Every one of them felt the love and caring mom gave so freely. Her passions were world travel, crocheting, swimming and pinochle with the kids. Disneyland was her Magic Kingdom with an opportunity rarely missed, her most recent visit this past March. Mom leaves behind her children: Martin III (Penny), Cassandra (Jim), Debra (Tom), Stacey, and Rebecca (Denny); grandchildren: Kelsey, Martin IV (Jeri), Courtney (Robert) Yancy, Marshall, and Tori; great-grandchildren: Brittney, Riley, Jorrey, Aubri, Anna, Autymne, and Jaycee. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters and brother. A special thanks to Dr. Dietlein for the care and compassion shown to mom over the years. Thanks mom for a life well lived, a difficult journey followed with dignity, and a legacy of love, compassion, and memories.
