Sherrie Lynn Blake, of Safford, entered into rest on May 8, 2020, at the age of 65. She was a life long resident of Safford. Sherrie was born in Safford, AZ on December 30, 1954, to parents George Lavon Blake and Donna Lee Blake. Sherrie, along with her only sibling, George Blake Jr.
She was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and attended Safford High School, graduating in 1973. After high school, she attended Arizona State University where she graduated with a degree in elementary education and became a preschool teacher.
She was known to be somewhat of a shy person but she always made good choices in life. In her free time, she loved doing crafts and spending time with her dog Pepe. Words that summed up Sherrie's life were quiet, steady, and faithful.
She is survived by her brother George Lavon Blake Jr. and his wife Susan.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Donna Blake, paternal grandparents George and Eathel Blake, and maternal grandparents Lionel and Arreta Lee.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the Safford Cemetery.
