Shirley Marie Bertoch Homer 1926 ~ 2009 Shirley Marie Bertoch Homer passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and family on Saturday, January 31 at 11:00 A.M. She was born on August 8, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Vivian Cutcliffe Bertoch and Hazel Ivy Hemenway Bertoch. She married Willard John Homer on January 19, 1946. They have five children: Jonathan Bertoch (Laconya), Timothy George (Brenda), Michael Willard (Nancy), Suzette (David Kunze), and David James (Lorelei). She was preceded in death by her parents, eight of her siblings: Thelma Brown, Vivian Bertoch, Anne Salmenson, Frank Bertoch, Adena Rydalch, Phil Bertoch, June Young, and Richard Bertoch, and one son-in-law David Kunze. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her sisters Hazel Edler and Janet Heyn, her husband, her five children, her seventeen grandchildren, and her fourteen great grandchildren. Her friends are welcome to a viewing at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah on Monday, February 2 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A funeral to celebrate her life will be held at the Hunter 23rd Ward House, 3665 South 6000 West, West Valley City, Utah on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 12:00 Noon. Friends are invited to a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Park
