Silver Glenn Rivera, 46, of Safford, passed away on September 4, 2016. He was born on September 16, 1970 in Morenci to Silvestre and Martha Rivera. Silver attended schools at Safford, where he graduated and later went to study at University Technical Institute. He then worked as a heavy duty mechanic for the mine. He loved riding his Harley, being with his girls and family and friends, shooting, playing pool and listening to his heavy metal music. The birth of his two daughters and owning a Harley were two things that meant the world to him. Silver is survived by his two daughters, Shanelle and Destinee, his parents, Silvestre and Martha, sisters, Michelle Holguin and Aimee Thorne and brothers by love, Brett Woratzeck and Porky Villalba. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felix and Carmen Rivera, Jesus Peralta and Roy Acher, and his cousins, Omar Rivera and Bill Rivera. Services for Silver will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
