Stanley John Warr Dad Stanley John Warr, 91, passed away August 17, 2008 in West Valley City, Utah. Born April 21, 1917 in Granger, Utah, son of Parley Ray and Nellie Ray Field Warr. Married Mildred Delila Shelton October 16, 1937 in Granger, Utah; solemnized September 7, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dad served in many stake and ward positions including, Young Men coach, bishop counselor, high councilor, bishop, ward financial clerk for 27 years, and in the Jordan River Temple for 15 years. Dad loved his family and enjoyed having them visit in his home. Survived by daughter: Bonnie (Ralph) Ashworth; sons: Dennis (Gail), Scott (Vickie), Dave (Joni), all of West Valley City; Bonner (Janice) of Kingwood, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Verl Taft, South Jordan, Faye Bird, Idaho Falls, ID. Preceded in death by parents, wife, son, Lynn; grandchildren, Subrina and Dallin; great-grandchildren, Chad and Leslie. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 22, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at the Granger West 4th Ward, 3305 South 3960 West. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park. The family expresses extreme thanks to the Hazen Nursing Home and to Inspiration Hospice and Homecare Living for the loving and kind care given to Dad.
