Stephen Lee Davis Papa Stephen Lee Davis was born February 4, 1954 in Logan, Utah to Howard E. and Margie Brown Davis. He died March 14, 2009 in Provo, Utah, at age 55, after a long illness. He was the oldest of five children: James, Ann (Mark) Hallows, Janine (Craig) Petersen, and McKay. He spent his childhood in Tooele, Utah and had many fond memories there. His family moved to Provo in 1968 when his father took a job at BYU. He attended Farrer Jr. High and was a wrestling champion at Provo High School. After graduation in 1972, he attended BYU then served an LDS mission to Finland from 1973-75. In 1976 he met Alene Coffman and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had seven children: Jamie, Jana Lee (Brian) Blackham, Michelle (Jared) Fuqua, Marc (Hillary), Bryan, Brad (Sara) and Kayla. His grandchildren were his greatest blessing: ShaLee, Shawn, Kyler, Brian Jr., Brooklyn, Mason, Morgan (due in April), Kirsten, Madison, Joshua, Destiny, Kolsen, Tai, Ashton, Treston, Randi and Dreyson. He worked at Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company until he was hurt in a serious industrial accident in 1979. He also worked his way up from bus boy to cook to partner in Don Diegos Mexican Restaurant. He worked for the City of Orem in the Water Reclamation Department for over 25 years. At the time of his death he was Pre-Treatment Coordinator. Although he suffered for 30 years with many health problems, he continued to work, spend time with family and friends, and serve in the LDS Church as much as he could. He was a great cook and blessed many with this talent. He touched many peoples hearts with his strength and perseverance and had many friends. He loved pigs and his dream was to someday own a pig farm. A viewing will be held Thursday, March, 19, 2009, 6-8 p.m. at the Slate Canyon 3rd Ward, 1498 East 800 South, Provo, UT where a funeral service will be held Friday, March 20, 2009, 11:00 a.m. with a viewing, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Orem City Cemetery.
