Steven Fernandez

Steve "Stevie" Burnett Fernandez entered into eternal rest on October 2, 2024 in Safford, Arizona at the age of 89.  Steve was born on December 22, 1934 to Guadalupe Fernandez, Sr & Josephine Swartz Burnette in Silver City, New Mexico.

He loved cooking, visiting with old friends and listening to his beloved Spanish music. On March 15, 1952, he married the love of his life Erminia A. Munoz and they were together until her untimely passing on October 7, 2013.

Steve is survived by his sons: Michael and Jimmy Fernandez, his daughters Lori (Albert) Provencio, Karla, and Jennifer Fernandez his grandchildren & great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He will be profoundly missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe & Josephine Fernandez, his brothers Guadalupe Jr (Pee Wee), and Raymond Fernandez, and his sisters Margaret Caballero, Lucy Vozza, and Lena Valdez.

Services for Steve will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Solomon, Arizona beginning with the Rosary at 9:30 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with interment in the Safford Cemetery following services.

Family & Friends are invited to a reception at the American Legion Hall in Solomon to share memories and celebrate Steve's life.
