Steven Bonner

January 26, 1947 — September 22, 2010

Steven (Bonez) Ralph Bonner 1947 2010 Beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend passed away September 22, 2010 with family and friends by his side after a long and courageous battle with lung disease. He was the first child of three born to Ralph Edgar Bonner and Ruth Lahree Ashworth Bonner January 26, 1947. Being only 4lbs at birth, Steven started his journey here with determination, fight and spunk. He would have to rely on those early characteristics throughout his life. Steve was a very hard worker and took great pride in his work and abilities. He was a successful Barber and carpenter/cement finisher. He wasnt a big fan of gossip, idle chit-chat or putting on airs. He was a man of few words, but what he did say was to the point. His gruff and rugged exterior fooled some but those who took the time to cut through the outer crust found the gooey middle and received the gift of a life time companion and friend. He left behind his mark of craftsmanship in many Salt Lake City structures, but his biggest mark and his greatest pride in life are his three children; Spencer, Marci, Rhyse and his first grandchild Tayvia ,born August 19, 2010. Keep the porch light on Steve. Survived by wife, JNette Romrell Bonner; two sons, Spencer (Amy) Bonner, Rhyse Bonner and daughter Marci (Arthur) Higgins; grand-daughter Tayvia Faith Higgins; mother Ruth Bonner; sisters Bonnie Bowman, and Sandra Calder; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father Ralph Bonner. Thanks to the IHC ,ICU Shock Trauma for their professionalism and compassion. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12:00 noon, September 28, 2010 in the Glenmoor Stake Center, 4200 West Skye Drive (9800 S), South Jordan, UT. Friends and family may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and again Tuesday, 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, South Jordan City Cemetery.
