Virginia B. Faunce, or Suzie as she was known, 80, of Safford, entered into rest on Monday, September 24, 2012 in Sierra Vista. She was born on May 1, 1932 in Gore, OK, to Rufus and Cleo Winkler. Suzie moved to Arizona at a young age. Suzie married Bob Faunce on June 5, 1949 in Gilbert, AZ. After they married, they moved to Peru, Nebraska, where Bob finished school. After graduating in 1952 they moved to Sanders, Arizona. They moved from Sanders to Safford in 1965. She and Bob were one of the founding couples of the Church at Safford. Bob passed away in 2003. Suzie worked as the school secretary until a couple of years ago. Suzie was a woman of many talents, she loved to cook, quilt, crochet, and paint to name a few. She is survived by her five sons, Randy (Susan) Faunce of Safford, Casey(Debbie) Faunce of Willcox, Mickey (Sylvia) Faunce of Safford, Scott Faunce of Safford, and Matthew (Mari) Faunce of Tucson; eight grandchildren, Seth, Miriam, Isaac, Tracy, Justin, Jeff, Amber, and Morgan; three brothers, James Winkler of Utah, Bobby (Pat) Winkler of Mesa, and Donald (Evelyn) Winkler of Marana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; daughter, Christine; and son, John David Faunce. There will be a celebration of Suzies life at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the McDougals Caldwell Funeral Chapel, 112 East Main, Safford.
