Tamara Sue Norwood, 56, of Phoenix, Arizona, entered into rest after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis on February 20, 2018 with her family at her side. She was born May 20, 1961 in Fredericktown, Missouri to Edward Henry Elders & Mary Ann Miller Elders, the older sister to Dwayne Elders.
Shortly after Tamara's birth, the family moved to Arizona, settling in Thatcher. She attended the Thatcher schools, graduating from Thatcher High School in 1979. On January 24, 1998 she married her love, Douglas Norwood in Tempe, Arizona bringing the family together by adding her children; Josh, Anthony and Jonathan Jones. She worked as a test car driver and also learned how to drive a big rig.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the Arizona Diamondbacks play baseball and spending time with her cat "Emma". She was a smart, fun-loving person who enjoyed life.
Tamara is survived by her husband Doug Norwood, her children Josh Jones, Tony (Nancy) Jones and Jon Jones, her father Edward Elders, her brother Dwayne Elders and grandchildren; Zachary, Ethan, Elijah and Audrey Jones.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Ann Elders.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Relief Society Building in Thatcher, Arizona.
