Life long resident of Clifton, Arizona, Estanislaa "Tanis" Medina Vozza, passed away on January 31, 2024 in Safford, Arizona at the age of 88. Tanis was born in Clifton to Consuelo Medina on November 13, 1935.
She graduated from high school and went on to Western New Mexico College earning her bachelor's degree. Tanis went on to become a school teacher, enjoying the children in her classroom.
In December of 1955, she married Louis H. Vozza in Clifton where they made their home. The couple was blessed with children Amanda, Mario, Vincent, Victoria, and Daniel.
Tanis was known for being strong willed and stubborn, but very loving. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble.
She leaves behind her loving children Amanda (Steve) Vozza Aguilar, Mario L. (Josie) Vozza, Vincent (Arlene) Vozza, and Daniel Rene (Carol) Vozza, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Consuelo, her loving husband Louis H. Vozza, her daughter Victoria Vozza, and her sisters.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church beginning with a visitation at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 9:00 and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery following services.
Tanis Vozza will forever remain in our hearts, her memory an eternal source of inspiration for all those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we say goodbye, let us remember her kind spirit, her unwavering love, and the compassion she radiated throughout her lifetime. May she rest in eternal peace.
