Thelma Higley

Thelma C.A. Higley 1919 ~ 2009 Our beloved mother, Thelma Christina Anderson Higley, age 89, passed away peacefully January 3, 2009. Born July 7, 1919 in Heyburn, Idaho to Lars and Thekla Victoria Stromberg Anderson. Married Donald Edwin Higley January 6, 1938 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mothers great love was music and enjoyed leading many children, youth and adult choirs. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower garden. She had many good friends who she dearly loved. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters: Donald E. (Kenna), Perry, UT; Melvin R. (Sandie), Kearns; Colleen (Dean) Naylor, Kearns; Linda (Howard) Jackson, Alpine; Brad (Kathy), South Jordan; 22 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; brother, Arvid Anderson, Kearns. Preceded in death by her husband; 1 grandson; 1 great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 9, 2009, 12:00 noon at the Kearns Stake Center, 4260 West 5215 South. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
