Dr. Theron Charles Claridge Ellsworth of Solomon passed away this past weekend of natural causes. He was 92 years old, a resident of Solomon since September 2007. Dr. Ellsworth was born December 27, 1921 at Payson, Utah, the fifth son of James Clarence Ellsworth and Julia Eliza Claridge. He was a veteran of two wars, serving in the US Navy in WWII, and in the US Army in Korea. In Korea in served on a front-line MASH unit. He married twice, first to Bettie Jean Chapman in 1949 (divorced) and Ferol Joan Holman in 1966 (divorced). He graduated with a doctorate in dentistry from U.S.C. in 1947, thereafter becoming an Anesthesiologist and later an Orthodontist. He was an inventor throughout his life. He is survived by five children - Philip, Phyllis, Elizabeth, James, and Matthew and their families, including 18 grandchildren. He is also survived by his Claridge relations, including Robert Claridge, his brother Edward Claridge, wife Kaye and their children. He was a father figure to many. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the Solomon LDS chapel. A visitation with be held one hour prior, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Thatcher Cemetery.
