Tina Poindexter

Mary Justina Poindexter, 77, of Safford passed away June 23 at her home in Safford, Arizona. Tina was born October 27, 1932 in Columbus, Kansas to George and Wilhelmina Taylor. She was raised in Pima, and attended Eastern Arizona Junior College. Tina worked at Mountain Bell as an operator/secretary where she met her loving husband, Ted Poindexter, and they were married on June 16, 1960 and blessed with 4 children. She enjoyed being involved in her childrens 4-H activities and was a 4-H Leader for over 10 years teaching many youth in the Valley cooking skills. She is survived by her husband Ted of 49 years, children Patti Williams (Greg Herron) of Tucson, Jonie (Ron) Burge of Safford, Paula (Clyde) England of Safford, and Teddy (MarJean)Poindexter of Pima, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and only sibling, John A Taylor. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel at 11:30 a.m. with viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow in the Pima Cemetery.
