Obituary:
Tomas E. Meza, a dedicated Meat Cutter known for his love of sitting and admiring the Arizona sunsets, passed away on April 25, 2024, at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. He was born on December 21, 1960 in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Tomas had a passion for creating jerky and cooking, which brought joy to those around him. He will always be remembered as everyone's favorite person who enjoyed engaging in friendly debates with others.
Throughout his life, Tomas valued education and successfully graduated from Safford High School while also attending Eastern Arizona College to further enrich his knowledge.
One of his proudest accomplishments was on February 21, 1997 when he received his Naturalization Certificate and became a United Sates Citizen, something he worked very hard for.
In the face of adversity, Tomas fought tirelessly for many years to overcome his illness, showing incredible strength and resilience. He was often heard saying "It's easy to die and hard to live."
He is survived by his beloved wife Janyce Meza and children Ricky, Randy, Kristy, Katy, and Angelica. Tomas also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who adored him deeply.
Tomas E. Meza was preceded in death by his mother Maria Meza Murillo, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife.
Services to honor and celebrate Tomas's life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Solomon, Arizona. A visitation will take place on May 4, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The interment will be held at Pima Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
In remembrance of Tomas, let us cherish the memories he has left behind and the love he shared with all those fortunate enough to know him. He may have left this world physically but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Rest in peace, Tomas E. Meza. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
