We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Tomas Joseph Villescas Sr. on January 10, 2024, at the age of 78. Tomas was born on February 12, 1945, in Clifton, Arizona, to parents Santiago Villescas & Carmen Gutierrez Villescas with siblings Romie, Jimmy, Terri, Gilbert, Pat, Joey & Richard.
Tomas was a beloved father, a cherished friend, and a respected member of his community.
Tomas was a proud member of the community. Growing up in Clifton, he worked hard throughout his life, finding steady employment as a Ball Mill Operator in the mining industry. He took pride in his work and always approached it with dedication and professionalism.
Outside of his career, Tomas Sr. had a passion for cars. Whether it was buying or building them, he enjoyed every aspect of the automotive world. His garage was his sanctuary, where he would spend countless hours tinkering and connecting with his favorite hobby. But above all else, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Being surrounded by his loved ones brought him immense happiness, and his warm and outgoing nature meant that he would strike up conversations with people wherever he went.
Tomas is survived by his three sons, Jamie (Valerie), Jerie (Patricia), and Patrick (Jennifer) Villescas, 16 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Romie, Jimmy, Terri, and Gilbert Villescas.
Reunited with those who have passed before him are is parents Santiago & Carmen, his son Tomas J. Villescas Jr, and his brothers Pat, Joey & Richard Villescas.
Although his passing leaves a void in their lives, his memory will forever reside in their hearts. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
A Memorial service to honor the life of Tomas Joseph Villescas Sr. will be held on Friday, January 26th at 1:00 p.m. at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel. A dinner will be held following the service from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the American Legion hall in Solomon.
In these difficult moments, our thoughts and prayers are with the Villescas family as they mourn the loss of a remarkable man. May they find solace in the cherished memories they shared with Tomas Sr. and find strength in each other's love.
