Tomasa Ogas

Tomasa Sedillos Ogas, 92, of Safford, entered into rest April 28, 2015 with her loving family at her side. She was born September 22, 1922 in Rincon, NM to Efren & Teodosa Sedillos. She attended schools in Hatch, NM. She met and married Ramon V. Ogas on February 27, 1948 in Deming NM after which the young couple moved to Safford to start their family. The couple was blessed with eleven children. She was a hard working fun loving person who always made people laugh. Though life was not always easy she always made the most of it. Tomasa was a homemaker who loved cooking, gardening, cross stitching, word puzzles and dancing but most important to her was her family. Tomasa is survived by her children; Arthur Chavez, Raymond Ogas, Raul Ogas, Robert Ogas, Lorraine Colvin, Reynaldo Ogas, Anna Ogas, Ruben Ogas, Richard Ogas, Margaret Ogas and Sara Ogas Andazola, siblings Corina Martinez and Reynaldo Sedillos, 42 grandchildren, 108 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great grandchildren for a grand total of 178 of which there are 5 sets of twins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ramon V. Ogas, her parents Efren & Teodosa Sedillos, her sons; Raul Ogas, Richard Ogas, Arthur Chavez and 4 little angels who touched her life for a very brief moment and siblings; Jesus Sedillos, Jose Sedillos, Maria Lozano, Lupe Padilla, Jimmy Sedillos, Ricardo Sedillos and Chila Padilla. A viewing for Tomasa will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. and the Rosary will be led at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Robert Rodriguez as celebrant. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery following the services.
