Tony LeRoy Martin Called to Serve Tony LeRoy Martin, 52, of West Valley City, Utah, was called home unexpectedly to his Heavenly Father on June 19, 2009. Born March 8, 1957 in Salt Lake City Utah to Keith E. and Lois Turpin Martin. Married Becky Ryser November 1977; later divorced. Together they had one daughter, Aimee. Graduated from Kearns High School and Salt Lake Community College with an Associates Degree in Business. Employed as an engineer for Qwest and was a planner on many projects including the 2002 Winter Olympics. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tonys sense of humor and genuine concern for others endeared him to everyone who knew him. He was always only one phone call away and whatever you needed, it was done immediately. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed. He loved being in Scipio with his family hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching BYU, the Jazz and football with his dad, brother and best friend, Ralph. Tonys shadow was his dog, Boston. They had a special bond and Boston waited by the window everyday for Tony to get home. The light of his life was his daughter, Aimee. He was a wonderful, caring father. She was always #1 in his eyes. His favorite thing was spending time with his granddaughter, Isabelle, spoiling her with gifts, stocking his kitchen with all her favorite foods, and letting her be the boss. Is it go in the wagon to the school, or ride your bike? , Do you want to take a nap or- not take a nap? He was the greatest grandfather and Isabelle always looked forward to playing with grandpa Tony. In memory of Tonys example, go and serve someone today.
