Twila Blanche Crook Bringhurst 1918 ~ 2008 Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Twila Blanche Bringhurst, age 89, passed away January 2, 2008 in Taylorsville, Utah. Born March 7, 1918 in Santaquin, Utah, daughter of Charles E. and Alvera Luella Crook. Blanch married Hugh C. Bringhurst March 7, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a great supporter of her husband and family. She was the greatest cook and had a delightful sense of humor. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the Young Womens and Relief Society presidencies and was a faithful visiting teacher for 65 years. Blanch is survived by one son and four daughters: Elma Ashley, Huntsville, UT; Hugh C. Jr. (Gay), Taylorsville; Twila (Larry) Affleck, Taylorsville; Dawna (Nolan) Bailey, Heyburn, ID; Rea (Don) Petersen, Taylorsville; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; husband; brother and sister and a son-in-law. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Good Shepherd Hospice (Nicole and Carol) and the staff at the Golden Living Assisted Living Center. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
