Twila Devenish

Twila Mae Nye Devenish 1917 ~ 2007 Twila Mae Nye Devenish, age 90, was born March 24, 1917 in Helper, Utah. She died September 26, 2007 in Lehi, Utah. She married Harold A. Devenish September 24, 1938 in Salt lake City, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Harold preceded her in death May 30, 1988. Twila was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many callings in the wards and stakes. She was an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple for 10 years. She was a member of Utah Daughters of the Pioneers, a past president of the Carbonites and a volunteer Pink Lady at Pioneer Valley Hospital. She is survived by two daughters and one son: Lu Ileen (Jon) Arnold, Lehi; Conni (Steve) Clawson, Lehi; Bill (Colleen) Devenish, West Valley City; 7 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. Also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Olive (Bobby) Somerville. The family wishes to thank the Lehi Greenwood Manor staff and Hospice for the wonderful care of our beloved mother. Family graveside services were held Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
