Vauna Beth King Winn Together Again Vauna Beth King Winn passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on December 25, 2009 in St. George, Utah from natural causes fulfilling her desire to once again spend Christmas with her husband, Glen, who preceded her in death on November 5, 1995. She was born July 19, 1925 to Robert and Emmeline King in Storrs, Utah. Her early years were spent in Cleveland, Utah and later in Sunnyside, Utah, where she met her future husband. Vauna and Glen were sealed in the Manti Temple on June 19, 1950. During her life, Vauna served faithfully in many church callings, including Relief Society President, Primary President, Choir Director and in the Stake Relief Society Presidency. She loved to attend the temple, where she served as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple for twelve years. She gained her love of temple work after serving a mission with her husband in the Denver Temple from 1987-1988. Vauna was a devoted mother and grandmother supporting her family in various activities. Along with her husband, she loved to travel visiting many sights in Europe and across the United States highlighted by trips to Germany to visit her daughter, Karen. She is survived by her four children: Karen (Tony) Spor, Tucson, Arizona; Robert (Sheri) Winn, Taylorsville, Utah; Kay (Roger) Green, St. George, Utah; Mike (Jeanene) Winn, also of Taylorsville. Twenty grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. Brother, Donald King of Price, Utah; sisters, Margie Stocks of Moab, Utah and LaRae Forbes of American Fork, Utah. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden Grove Ward, 1945 West 9000 South, West Jordan, Utah. Friends and family may visit on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
