Vearl Lyman Holyoak, 52, of Fort Thomas passed away May 12, 2010, at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1957, in Safford to Lyman and Virgie Holyoak. He married Janie Currie on June 5, 1981, in the Mesa LDS Temple. He graduated from Fort Thomas High School and went on to attend Eastern Arizona College. After graduating from EAC he attended ASU majoring in Electronics Technology. Vearl served a mission in the Montana Billings Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Vearl worked 14 years at Honeywell in the computer industry before returning home to take over the family business: Holyoaks Independent Garage and Wrecker Service. He has served his community well as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and as a past Bishop of the Fort Thomas LDS Church. He is survived by his wife Janie; daughters Tacie Sue (Cliff) Wright, Jodie Louise (Darin) Martin, and Kendra Janelle Holyoak; sons Vonn Lyman (Amy) Holyoak, and Ryan Jarell Holyoak; sisters Betty Stephenson, Veda Pendleton, and Louise Hughes; and 5 grandchildren Tanner, Cayson, Evelynn, Easton, and Andyn. He was preceded in death by his brothers J.L. Holyoak and Lenard Holyoak. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Ft. Thomas LDS Church. Friends may call on Friday, May 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the church, and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment will be in the Emery Cemetery.
