Verl Warr Taft 1915 ~ 2010 Just before midnight, January 2, 2010, at the age of 94, Mom slipped away from us to a wonderful reunion with many dear loved ones who had previously departed and were awaiting her arrival. Born May 6, 1915 in Granger, Utah. For most of her life she lived just two houses from where she was born. She loved serving in the temple for many years. She enjoyed bowling and creating the most beautiful quilts. You could always find her making cookies and the best lemon meringue pies. Survived by her daughter, Terry (Mike) Garcia; grandchildren: Brandon (Wendi) Hayden and Karlie (Jason) Strong; 6 great-grandchildren that were her treasures; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. My deepest thanks to all Moms family who supported me in the decisions made for Mom to respect her wishes as to her care when she was unable to make them herself due to the progression of Alzheimers. Special thanks to Hearts for Hospice for all the love they gave her, and to Legacy Care Center for the care and kindness the nurses and aids have given her over these last years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the Granger West 4th Ward, her life long ward, 3305 S. 3960 W. Viewings will be held Friday, January 8, 2010, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
