Vernon O. Harrison 1923 ~ 2009 Vernon Oliver Harrison passed away April 8, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born January 22, 1923 in East Burnstadt, Kentucky to Arthur Vernon Harrison and Martha Christensen. Attended the University of Utah. Served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Married Thelma Terry February 29, 1944. Vern worked for United Airlines for some 40 years. He is survived by his six children: Martha, Peter (Connie), Mary Ann Odle (Mark), Linda Moffitt, Heidi Dolan and James (Sally); 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Thelma and son, Terry. Vern spent much of his life serving his neighbors. Got a kid flunking calculus? Go see Vern. Need help on your taxes? Vern. The lawnmower you threw on the junk pile? It will likely show up on your front porch two days later in perfect working condition. If you lived next door, or two doors down, no need to worry about mowing the lawn or shoveling snow. Vern would do it. Its just how he lived. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
