Vicente Macias Reyna, 81, of Safford, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 19, 1930 in Morenci to Antonio Martinez Reyna and Vicenta Macias. He married Herminia Castorena, in Tepezala, Mexico on February 16, 1950. They have been married for over 62 years. Vicente was a former musician, rock hounder, gardener, and cement artist. He retired from Phelps Dodge as a concrete finisher after 35 years. He worked for Wal-Mart after retirement. He was an active member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Beneficio Propio, and the Clifton Morenci Social Club. Vicente was an Avid supporter of the U of A Wildcats, Los Gatos! He is survived by his wife Herminia; sons, Juan Rene Reyna, Hugo(Cindy) Reyna, and Vicente (Tammy) Reyna; daughters, Alma (Philip) Martinez, and Diana (Lupe) Balderrama; siblings, Magdalena Johnson, Jose Luis Reyna, Ricardo Reyna, and Felix Reyna; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Elizabeth Reyna; brothers, Antonio Reyna and Ruben Reyna. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford, with Rev. Father Edward Lucero as celebrant. There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel, 112 East Main Street, Safford, and Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, from 9- 11 a.m. with rosary being recited at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
