W. Melvin Briggs 1940 ~ 2008 Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Melvin Briggs, age 67, passed away April 13, 2008 in West Jordan, Utah. Born September 20, 1940 in Murray, Utah, son of Lake Glen and Thora Edith Reynolds Briggs. He married Kathryn Miller and she passed away in 1981, after 21 years of marriage. He later married Debbie Hardman. Melvin loved fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; children: Allyson Larsen, Val Briggs and Troy Briggs; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and 1 sister. Graveside services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
