Whitney McKay Whetman Baller, Whitty, Whitwiki, Monkey Our precious Whitney, born October 15, 1993, chose to leave this earthly life and return to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, July 16, 2010. Survived by her parents, Bret and Lisa; brother and best friend, Mitchell; grandparents: Mike and Lois Shaeffer, of Taylorsville; Paul and Dorothy Whetman, of West Jordan; great-grandmother, Evelyn Shaeffer, of Taylorsville; and many other loved aunts, uncles and cousins. Her family life was full of love, care, peace, support, and friendly competition. She loved all sports and activities but basketball was her true love. She was proud to be a member of the WJHS Lady Jags basketball team where she had many sisters and inspired a strong camaraderie. Playing High School Basketball is where everyone saw her tremendous skill, dedication, and determination blossom. Her big smile and fun personality will always be missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 22, 2010, 12:00 noon at the LDS church, 8825 S. 3200 W., West Jordan, UT where a viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. Donations are welcome at any Zions Bank under Whitney Whetman Donation Account.
