William Buck

William O. Buck Bill Our loving husband, father, grandfather; great-grandfather and friend, William Oliver Buck, age 88, passed away August 24, 2009 in Riverton, Utah surrounded by his family. Born April 27, 1921 in Evanston, Wyoming to Oliver and Edith Ashton Buck. Graduated from Evanston High School in 1939. Entered the US Navy July, 1942 and served in both theaters of war, including D Day, and was honorably discharged in August, 1945. Married Mazelle Rollins December 14, 1945. Worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for four years before entering the University of Wyoming in 1949, graduating in 1952. Employed as a Landman for Mobil Oil Corporation for 30 years in Billings, Casper, Oklahoma City and Denver, where he retired in 1982. Survived by his wife, Mazelle; children: Richard (Carolyn), Janice (Marc) Beasley, Shari Murray, William (Leslie) and Randall (Rob); 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Glen and Blaine; sister, Grace. Interment, with military honors, in Evanston, Wyoming, Saturday, August 29, 2009, 2:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of First Choice Hospice for their help and kindness.
