William Fischler

William Willy Gordon Fischler passed away at home on October 26, 2012 at the age of 59. He was born in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania on August 7, 1953 to Gordon and Elaine Fischler. Willy received an associate of arts degree in criminal justice from Cochise College in May of 1974. He served as a law enforcement officer in Willcox and Greenlee County prior to starting a career as an electrician. He was a Journeyman Electrician and worked at the Morenci mine until he retired in 2009. He spent his life working to serve his family and was always available to help others. He loved music and enjoyed playing many musical instruments. Writing poetry and woodworking were also long-time passions of his. Willy is survived by his former spouse, Marian Jo Sissy Fischler; his children, Audra (Andy) Terry, and Clint Fischler; and his grand children Derek Terry, Ryleigh Terry and Blainey Jo Fischler. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 3 at McDougals Caldwell Funeral Home in Safford.
