William Whitington

William Eugene Whitington, Bill 67 of Safford, passed away June 24, 2013 in Tucson. Bill was born July 29, 1945 to William and Etta Whitington. Bill was one of four children. He served his country as a member of the Air Force and Army National Guard. Many may remember him from his employment at Wal-Mart. Bill loved cooking; he was known for always creating new recipes. He loved being around children especially his great nieces and nephews. Being a member of the military and being there for his family and friends was something Bill was always proud of. Bill is survived by his daughter, Desiree Palmer; 3 grandchildren; niece, Debra Jubran and great nieces and nephews, Brittany Frankhouser, Brent Jubran and Fayez & Fatema Jubran. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Etta Whitington; sisters, Leona Smith and Sandy Worden, and brother Brent Blalock. A graveside Memorial service will be conducted Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thatcher Cemetery.
