Send Flowers Willis David Attaway July 29, 1918 - April 11, 2011 Willis David Attaway, 92, of Duncan, entered into rest on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Sunset Hills Care Center in Safford. Willis was born on July 29, 1918 in Farmington, NM, to Walter Attaway and Mary Jane Willis. Willis spent his childhood years growing up between Phoenix and Duncan. He graduated from Duncan High School then served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He worked and retired from the maintenance department at U.C.L.A. in Los Angeles, CA. While he was in California he Married June and they moved back to Duncan after retiring. June passed away on January 13, 2009. He is survived by his sister Noreen Bates of Duncan, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Robert Attaway and Alfred Attaway. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Duncan First United Methodist Church. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
