Zephire Peterson

Zephire Peterson 1924 - 2008 Pete Zephire Peterson, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away June 30, 2008. Born December 29, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Mediar Zephire and Jean Marion Dickman Cheff. After both of his parents passed away, he was adopted by Charles E. Peterson, at the age of seven, in Butte, Montana. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII, flying 53 missions in B24's over Europe. Married Margie June Moulton, of Heber, Utah, on February 1, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. He built a home in West Jordan, Utah in 1954 With our dear mother, he raised six children in that home and resided there for 54 years. He worked at the Amoco Oil Refinery for 32 years before retiring in 1981. He enjoyed his family and outdoor activities. Dad was a devoted husband and father and member of the LDS Church. He and mother served a two year mission to British Columbia and a two year mission in their stake. He is survived by his wife, Margie; all of his children: Dewey, Charles, Ted, Jean Turci, Deborah Peterson and Bob; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008, 12:00 noon at the West Jordan 10th Ward, 8435 South 2700 West where a viewing will be held Saturday, 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Heber City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
