Zola Brown Teeples 1924 ~ 2008 Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away March 11, 2008, surrounded by her family, at the age of 83 of natural causes. She was born July 2, 1924 in Rexburg Idaho to J. Earl and Constance Ricks Brown. She married Glen H. Teeples, August 21, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with 6 children: G. Brent (Virginia) Teeples, Blair P (Debbie) Teeples, Morrell B (Brooks) Teeples, Bruce M. (Carole Ann) Teeples, Jeffrey L. (Louise) Teeples and Joleen Teeples-Olson (Mark). She has 30 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Douglas Brown; her sisters, JoAnne Reed and Carmen Jensen. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, G. Brent Teeples; daughter-in-law, Silvia Cutler (Blair) Teeples; brother A. Oreon Brown She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, Western Hills 4th Ward, Western Hills-Kearns Stake. She provided life-long service in many positions over the years, including Young Womens President and Stake and Ward Relief Society President. All of her sons served full time missions for the church. She also volunteered as the Home Service Director for the International Red Cross for more than 11 years. As a business woman she was a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of Depue State Bank, and a member of the board of Directors and Executive Vice President of Atkinson State Bank. Both banks are located in Illinois. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano and painting. She was involved in church and civic musical theater productions and developed these talents in her children. She touched many lives throughout her life and will be best remembered for her compassion, charity and kindness towards others. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, Harrison Blvd, South Ogden, Utah following the services.
